Empower your employees before they go to the dentist or have dental work done
Dental benefits play an important role in supporting employees’ overall health. But if employees don’t understand how and what’s covered, or costs, that can affect utilization and, by extension, their well-being. Because when employees understand what's offered, they're more likely to use their dental benefits and make better dental care decisions.
Watch Mouth Matters, Part 3: Tying dental plan design to employee well-being for details to learn more about:
Predeterminations: These tell employees if a service is covered. And give an estimate of what the carrier will pay. And what they'll be responsible for. Helping them avoid surprise costs ahead of time.
Spending accounts: Like Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) give the option of putting pre-tax paycheck dollars aside to pay for qualified out-of-pocket health expenses, including dental services. Helping employees put their money to good use.
Questions to ask: Before agreeing to treatment, there are several questions employees should ask to get the best care and value. Questions like "What is your recommended treatment plan?" And: "Does the treatment need to happen now?"
