For the most part Guardian has been good. I recently (January) had a crown placed for a cracked molar. About three weeks later the tooth right in front of it broke in half. A few weeks after the second crown was done I received a bill stating Guardian wouldn't pay for leveling the tooth...because it was "cosmetic". Hello, a piece of tooth slide off like an ice shelf falling from an iceberg! It's cosmetic? All my other dealings with Guardian have been good but this was ridiculous. Cosmetic, give me a break!

It would be good if there was a number or email for questions. I had a difficult time figuring out the coverage, as different from what I thought it would be, i.e. full coverage of routine annual or semiannual exams.

Was a 5star; but I am had to make it 3star Spoke with a CSR a few days ago to remove my husband from y dental policy as he is now covered with the VA Veterans Clinic here in Melbourne, FL She did not know what the new premium would be and would get back to me./......????

Very limited coverage for periodontists procedures

I have been with guardian for over 5 years now. I consider them to be an average company. Their benefits are pretty much the same as the rest of the dental insurance industry. There are no perks for being a long-term customer.

I'm not a fan of the waiting periods. I pay for insurance I am supposed to able to use it. I think a 365 day wait period for major services is excessive and a terrible way to try and keep customers

It's good as what I am concerned. I used this dental policy for general cleaning and routine care. If something is not covered, we should be able to pay the pre-negotiated price say for fillings or crown, this would prevent dentists from over charging us for those non-covered costs.

Have encountered a number of problems with premium payments which I am certain was caused by your billing department. After weeks of trying to resolve the issues, I spoke to your Customer Service personnel and fortunately was put in touch with Karla. What took many weeks of going back and forth with your personnel with no correct results, it was Karla who analyzed the problem and took the necessary steps to resolve the issue. She was patient and assured me and my husband that she will get to the bottom of the problem which she did. She contacted us in a few days as she promised you would do and assured us that the problem was solved. She is an excellent employee of your Company and I hope you will pass on this review to her.

When I need them they are always on time. I have no problems getting my needs taken care of.

I really like Guardian dental insurance. I went to the dentist for a full exam, cleaning, and X-rays, and when I asked the guy at the counter what my bill was, he said nothing. Guardian paid it all. Now you can't beat that!

Enrollment was quick and easy. Didn't have to talk to anyone. Enrolled about 3 months ago. Had our first dental appt yesterday for the family and everything went smooth. Limited out-of-pocket expenses. Great company.
