Andrew J. McMahon

Andrew J. McMahon is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), leading more than 7,700 colleagues working to inspire well-being® for millions of consumers. Under Andrew’s leadership, Guardian is expanding ways to help consumers achieve physical, emotional, and financial well-being. Previously, Andrew served as president and board director of AXA US and led strategic transformation initiatives at General Electric and as a partner at McKinsey.

Andrew serves on the boards of the American Council of Life Insurers and Partnership for New York City and was appointed to the New York State Insurance Advisory Board and is a trustee on the board of Fairfield University. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Science) from Fairfield University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
