Stacey Hoin
Stacey Hoin is Chief Human Resources Officer at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian). In this role, she is responsible for leading development and execution of strategic talent management across the lifecycle of the colleague experience. Stacey is also responsible for building the inclusive and consumer-centric culture that supports Guardian’s business goals and enables its colleagues to inspire well-being by providing customers with the financial security they deserve in life, health, and wealth.
Previously, Stacey served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at GE Capital, where she was responsible for developing organizational and talent strategies and leading the company’s global HR team. During her tenure there, she led the organizational and cultural transformation of GE Capital as the company evolved from a broad-based leasing and lending organization to a more focused financial services company serving the GE industrial businesses.
A lawyer by training, Stacey was with GE for more than 30 years and served in numerous leadership roles in both HR and legal, starting her career in GE’s Lawyers’ Development Program and subsequently moving to GE Capital’s Retail Finance business where she served as business counsel and labor and employment counsel. She was later named GE Capital’s Organization & Talent Development leader to help drive organizational effectiveness in support of the company’s business strategy. Drawing from her experience guiding cultural transformation and fostering compassionate leadership in the workplace, Stacey regularly participates in thought leadership through speaking and media engagements and on LinkedIn.
Stacey is a member of the Evanta NYC CHRO Governing Body and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut-based Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. She previously served on the Board of Advisors for Catalyst, the global nonprofit accelerating women into leadership. Stacey holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Mary’s College.
