Steve Rullo

Steve Rullo is Chief Digital and Technology Officer at the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian). In this role, Steve is charged with accelerating Guardian’s digital transformation and technology capabilities to enable long- term growth.

An experienced digital and technology leader, Steve previously served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Great-West Lifeco (GWL), where he led technology strategy, governance and oversight for GWL’s operating companies across insurance, wealth management, and reinsurance. Prior to GWL, Rullo spent 20 years at General Electric (GE), where he most recently served as Division CIO for GE Capital and Corporate CIO for Finance and Global Operations.

Additionally, Steve co-founded a consulting firm, led product definition for a dot-com start-up, worked as an IT Director at Cigna Healthcare and started his career at Andersen Consulting.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has participated in executive leadership training programs at GE and Deloitte.
