Guardian commits $500,000 to help Americans coping with the Coronavirus pandemic
NEW YORK, N.Y., March 30, 2020 – The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America ® (Guardian Life) announced today it is committing $500,000 to help Americans impacted by coronavirus. This commitment includes support on a national and local level including:
$250,000 grant to Feeding America ® to help address food insecurity across the country, as public schools and businesses close.
$100,000 donation evenly distributed to local impact funds in communities where Guardian has local offices – Appleton, WI; Bethlehem, PA; New York, NY; Pittsfield, MA; and Spokane, WA.
Through the Guardian for Good Employee Giving Program, a special 2:1 corporate match has been implemented for all employee donations to Feeding America food banks across the country, up to $150,000.
