Margherita L. DiManni
Margherita L. DiManni, J.D., is Senior Vice President, Interim General Counsel, of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. In this role, she is responsible for managing Guardian’s enterprise-wide legal, compliance, corporate governance and government affairs functions. She serves as a member of Guardian’s Capital Markets Committee, Strategic Investments Committee and Strategic Investments Steering Committee. She also serves as a director of Broadshore Capital Partners, LLC, Guardian’s majority-owned real estate investment management affiliate based in Los Angeles, and as a director of Guardian Investor Services LLC, the holding company for Guardian’s fee-based businesses.
Ms. DiManni joined Guardian in 1998, and throughout her 22-year tenure has held roles of increasing responsibility within Guardian’s Law, Compliance and Government Affairs Department. Immediately prior to assuming the role of Interim General Counsel in 2020, she served since 2014 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Advisory and Transactions Counsel, responsible for legal-side execution of Guardian’s M&A, corporate finance, capital markets, corporate real estate and other strategic initiatives. She also managed legal support for Guardian’s corporate tax, employment, employee benefit, investments, outsourcing and vendor contracting matters.
Prior to joining Guardian, Margherita served as an Associate and later Counsel, in the Corporate and Project Finance Departments at Chadbourne & Parke LLP in New York City, which has since merged into Norton Rose Fulbright. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Pace University School of Law in 1988, where she was Managing Editor of The Pace Law Review. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from The State University of New York at Albany in 1985. Margherita is a member of the state bars in New York and Connecticut. She is also a member of the American Life Insurance Council.
